F. Parks Brown and Ryan M. Lammert passed the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS) exam and are now Board Certified in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law. They join the other seven Board Certified attorneys and one Board Certified paralegal at Uhl Fitzsimons and we are very proud of their great achievement. The TBLS was established in 1974 by the Supreme Court of Texas. Ezra Johnson was recently appointed to the VIA Board of Trustees. VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority is governed by a 11-member board of trustees. Board members are appointed by San Antonio City Council (appoints five), Bexar County Commissioners Court (appoints three), and the Suburban Mayors (appoints two). The Chair of the Board is elected by the Board members. The VIA Board of Trustees meets monthly to discuss and decide policy issues and hear comments from the community within its 1200-square-mile service area. Parks Brown has joined the Board of Green Spaces Alliance of South Texas.  The mission of Green Spaces Alliance is to sustain the natural environment and enhance urban spaces through land conservation, community engagement, and education.  To date, Green Spaces Alliance has helped protect over 133,000 acres of land over the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone, safeguarded 458 additional acres of private property and 123 acres of donated land, fostered over 40 community gardens across San Antonio, and educated over 3,700 students on the importance and beauty of nature.
On June 23, 2017, Trace Burton was elected by The Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas (“OGERL”) to serve a three-year term on the Council, the governing board for OGERL.
