Partners Trace Burton and Ezra Johnson were interviewed by staff writer Jennifer Hiller for an article published in the June 28, 2015 edition of the San Antonio-Express News titled “Legal Trouble Flowing in Eagle Ford.” The article detailed the continued confusion around title issues and in determining the amount of royalty mineral owners receive from oil companies when property has been conveyed. To add to the confusion, district and appellate courts around the state have different interpretations of how royalty percentages are calculated.

Ezra Johnson and Robert Park met with Jennifer Hiller of the San Antonio Express-News recently to discuss royalty audits and surface issues in the Eagle Ford Shale. Trace Burton was selected as one of the San Antonio Business Journal's 40 Under 40 winners. The San Antonio Business Journal announced the 2015 winners of the 40 Under 40 special awards publication, which will honor 40 outstanding individuals under the age of 40 who are making a difference in the San Antonio community. A select panel of judges consisting of past 40 Under 40 award recipients chose the 2015 winners from more than 110 nominees.
